Robyn’s Story – Sparks Attendee
29/7/2026
“The people here are really kind and fun which makes me feel safe, calm and happy”
Before discovering Door 84 in 2024, Robyn’s days were quiet and often felt empty. “I felt really lonely,” she recalls. “All I did was clean my home to try and keep busy, but it was making me sad.”
Everything changed when her support agency suggested she give Sparks a try. Despite some initial nerves, Robyn quickly found her feet making a wide circle of friends to dance with, followed by a catch-up over hot chocolate in the café.
The impact on Robyn’s wellbeing has been visible to all. Those around her have witnessed a huge surge in her confidence.
“I feel like I belong here, I can just be myself and not worry.”
Whether she’s dressed up in colourful wigs and hats, participating in drumming workshops, or performing a solo dance to her favourite song, Jerusalema, Robyns’s joy is clear to see!
Robyn’s newfound courage has even inspired her to join new community activities like drama classes.
