Theo – Making a Difference Through Volunteering
Theo has been volunteering with Door 84 since 2023, he wanted to try something new and give back to his local community.
Theo loves getting to know the young people and seeing how childhood today compares with his own.
His experience at Door 84 has been incredibly positive, with Theo sharing, “Volunteering has made me a better person, more active, and more confident around young people. Having the ability to set a good example to others.”
One of Theo’s favourite parts of volunteering is supporting the youth sessions. Being present, chatting with young people, and getting to know each individual makes every session unique and fulfilling. In addition to working within sessions, Theo has also supported Door 84’s community and fundraising events, further strengthening his involvement and impact on the people he supports.
“Every session is a new experience, with highs and lows, but really eventful and fun.”
Through volunteering, Theo has built confidence, developed valuable skills, and played a meaningful role in supporting young people.
